Develop a game only using a smartphone?

Post by Retrobyte »

Hi. Can be possible to Develop a game only using a smartphone? I found some apps that let you design somethings but don't let you export to .apk I only have an old smartphone (android 6) and limited internet access but I don't want to give up my dream (and buying a computer is almost impossible for me (at least for the next 2 years)).

Someone can help?

Thanks.

.apk files are compiled by a computer with an arm toolchain.

If your smartphone can manage to load a dense content-filled webpage, you may be able to use game makers that run on browser and create a .apk file.

I have not tried Flowlab, but it seems to have good support. It allows exporting .apk file, but requires paid subscription.

Another direction you may consider is making games with HTML5 in Android and uploading it to itch.io.

Thx for the info.

I found a web version apps called gdevelop and construct3 but i have not tried them fully. Also i was wondering if i can use python or scratch to make the game and .apk. but i fear all of these are hard to use.

There are 6 steps to develop a game for free.
1. Choose your games app template.
2. Set your Apps settings.
3. Choose your themes colors.
4. Name your game and set the rules.
5. Preview your game.
6. Publish on Google Play and share it with others.
