Hey guys, I would love some feedback on my metroidvania game!

There's only need for one forum for now. Discuss development. No advertising or thinly veiled attempts at advertising. Create a single thread for your project and be prepared to show and tell.

Three years in development, Devoul- Curse of the Soulless reached its final stages today. All the content of the game is now fully developed and the project is now starting its testing and bugfixing fase. Hope to give you some dates on the release soon! :)

About the testing fase of the game, I would love for some feedback from anyone willing to try the free DEMO. I am looking mostly for major bugs or other problems (like game not running or strange bugs).
Any time spend on the game is great and will help a lot! And diferent machines with diferent setups (only window OS tho)!

If you want to give me a little hand I will be more than happy, cuz doing all of this alone sure is hard!!! XD

Link to the page of the game with the DEMO: https://sweepingavalanche.itch.io/devoul

Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the help. I don't need much, just to see if the game works well and there are no major bugs :)

I just played a little bit. This is really good work, you can tell you've put a lot of effort and thought into this. Just the beginning section, getting me used to the controls, slowly developing the story etc. Excellent work.

For now, I've got no feedback other than to say it's really good. I'll try and play a little later with a controller to see how it feels.

It is a good game demo!

I like the new enemy types added to the game demo.
It really adds variety to the game and keeps me alert on what I am fighting against.

After meeting a blonde guy, the main character isn't able to jump high enough to reach a platform.
Is this intended for the game demo?

Thanks so much for trying it out!
And yes, it is intended. That spot is only for when you have the double jump latter in the game. To enter the castle you have to use other path.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Nice. I just got an email from itch.io about it. Purchased.
