Welcome to the forums! I played the Witch Trial prototype.

I think it is a good game!

There are some quality issues that can be fixed.

The puddles that slow you down are hard to see. I think making these puddles have a high contrast to the floor would fix this issue. Ideally the player has the highest contrast, objects that can be interacted with have second highest contrast, and background or floor has lowest contrast.
When going into a level, I was spawned instantly into a level and hit by an obstacle the moment I spawned.

Some suggestions:

I think adding a countdown timer would make it a cool arcade game that pushes the player to killing enemies more efficiently. It gets a little boring that I am not punished for playing it safe.

Great input! Yes a countdown timer could work great. I think the theme will be "Gameshow" - so we can have a measurement bar for audience engagement - so if there is no violence it slowly drops off and if too low you get an electric zap or the like that hurts you and entertains the audience a bit...

I played the new version. It is much more fun!

I got scared by the lighting that hits the main character if the audience gets bored.

My 8bitdo gamepad was not working well with the game for some reason.

Can the space bar be used to throw knives?
It is a little more easy for me to use space bar to throw knives if I am using WASD to move and arrow keys to aim.

Now with a dungeon gameplay option. Thought it needed a small meta game instead of just one arena after another. but maybe that simplicity is soothing...

The game is improving! I like the graphical updates. I like that the enemies can now kill the player with one hit.
The game is good.

I think I would like to hear a satisfying sound to indicate that the enemy was hit and in pain. Like a painful grunt or a scream. Also the player could have a grunt or scream when dying.
